ELOISE LIKES WRITING: AN ANXIOUS CREATURE
I'm pet sitting guinea pigs for a month, and enjoying it. However, in some ways their existence seems pretty sad. A guinea pig's only defense in nature is its own neuroticism, so evolution has created a creature that's just maxed out on anxiety. Their main joy in life (besides kale) seems to be hiding. Their talent is being constantly alarmed. The delight of a good back scratch is forever beyond their reach because they're too afraid. I feel like these guinea pigs need some Xanax. They are very cute though.
