Humans solved the problem of having readily available graspers by becoming bipedal, so they could use their hands for stuff other than walking. Elephants solved it by growing a long prehensile nose. Some monkeys solved it with a 5th butt arm. Having all your appendages used up with just moving around is a widespread problem!
