ELOÏSE LIKES WRITING: WORDS
When I was a kid I didn't internalize that eventually there would be new slang terms. It deeply felt like the current slang terms would always be the slang terms. In practice I've really enjoyed that we keep getting new fun words, it's like the English language gets a surprise present every few months.
And on the other end, unpopular words eventually get retired as "archaic" (although that's a slower process). I will say we made some poor choices here though: "betwixt" and "forsooth" are such bangers.
